NZ$300k Efficient Half-Brother Wins Debut

Monday, 5th March 2007

Dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added an impressive juvenile winner when debutant 2YO colt Guillotine (Montjeu-Refused To Dance, by Defensive Play) scored by 1-length over 1200m at Canterbury Park in Sydney for trainer David Payne. Guillotine (a NZ$300,000 yearling at the 2006 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale at Karaka) is a half-brother to this season's Gr1 Victoria Derby (2500m) winner Efficient (Zabeel-Refused The Dance).
