NZ Star Seachange Eyes Gr1 Singapore Cup

Trainer Ralph Manning revealed connections of multiple Gr1-winning 4YO Kiwi mare Seachange (Cape Cross-Just Cruising, by Broad Reach) "are now considering a tilt at the S$3 million (A$2,4m) Gr1 Singapore International Cup (2000m) on May 20," reported NZ Thoroughbred Marketing. Last weekend Seachange finished runner-up in Australia's Gr1 Futurity Stakes (1600m) at Caulfield in Melbourne to take her record to 9 wins (including her previous start in the Gr3 Mannerism Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield on February 24, plus 2006's Gr1 Stoney Bridge Stakes over 1600m & Gr1 Mudgway Partsworld Stakes over 1400m, plus 2005's Gr1 NZ Bloodstock 1000 Guineas over 1600m) & 5 placings (also including January's Gr1 Telegraph Handicap over 1200m, plus 2006's Gr1 Kelt Capital Stakes over 2040m & Australia's Gr1 Myer Classic over 1600m) from 16 starts for $802,518 earnings.
