Monday, 12th March 2007

Former Vinery shuttler Langfuhr (Danzig-Sweet Briar Too, by Briartic) added a black-type success when daughter Absolutelyfabulous (Langfuhr-Joker's Girl, by Rory's Jester) returned from a 17-weeks spell to score by a neck against the males in the $70,000 Listed Eskimo Prince Stakes (1100m) for 3YOs at Randwick. Absolutelyfabulous (ridden by Corey Brown for trainer Kris Lees) defeated fellow filly Hot 'N' Ready (More Than Ready-All Trumped Up, by Flying Spur) & the gelding Eight Moons (Octagonal-Simoon, by Palace Music). Absolutelyfabulous (a $45,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Classic Sale) now has 4 wins (also including 2006's Listed Reginald Allen Quality over 1400m at Randwick & the Inglis Classic over 1200m at Rosehill) & 4 placings (including November's Listed Seppelt Wines Stakes over 1400m) from 13 starts for $471,350 earnings.
