In the US, prominent Kentucky stallion Crafty Prospector (Mr Prospector-Real Crafty Lady, by In Reality) "has been pensioned from stud duty at age 28," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Florida-bred Crafty Prospector stood 16 seasons at Brookdale Farm in Kentucky, after beginning his career in Florida; he covered 33 mares in 2006 while standing for a private fee. Crafty Prospector is the sire of 89 stakes-winners, including: multiple Gr1-winning Japanese champion Agnes Digital who earned over US$8 million & stands at Big Red Farm on the island of Hokkaido; 9-times stakes-winner Crafty Shaw who earned over US$1 million & now stands at Buck Pond Farm in Kentucky; Gr2-winner & California stallion Crafty C.T.; & multiple graded stakes-winner & 1st-year Pennsylvania stallion Pies Prospect. Overall from 21 crops of racing age, Crafty Prospector has sired 710 winners from 895 starters for US$88,110,136 progeny earnings. On the track himself, he recorded 7 wins & 3 placings (including the 1983 Gr1 Gulfstream Park Handicap) from 10 starts.
