Hot Danish Wins Nolan Classic

Thursday, 22nd March 2007

Byerley Stud stallion Nothin' Leica Dane (Danehill-Leica Pretender, by Sir Tristram) added a black-type success when favoured daughter Hot Danish (Nothin' Leica Dane-Hit 'n' Breezy, by Zephyr Zip) made it 3 successive victories (since returning from a 4.5-months spell) with a decisive 2.75-lengths win in yesterday's $130,000 Listed Keith Nolan Classic (1600m) for 3YO fillies at Kembla Grange. Hot Danish (ridden by Tim Clark for trainer Les Bridge) defeated fast-finishing Miss Pageantry (Viscount-Rich Pageantry, by Rubiton) & Rose Of Sharon (Encosta de Lago-Rose Reward, by Sir Tristram). Hot Danish (a $32,000 yearling at the 2005 Inglis Scone Sale) now has 4 wins from 5 starts for $146,780 earnings. She is a full-sister to Bridge's fellow metropolitan winner Prince Frederik.
