Monday, 26th March 2007

Coolmore shuttler Royal Academy (Nijinsky-Crimson Saint, by Crimson Satan) added a juvenile group success when favoured Woodlands Stud home-bred colt Deferential (Royal Academy-Talent Time, by Quest For Fame) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the $140,000 G2 Darley Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) for 2YO colts & geldings at Rosehill. Deferential (ridden by Darren Beadman for trainer John Hawkes) defeated dead-heating colts Acey Ducey (Xaar-Deduce, by Known Fact) & Cecconi (Encosta De Lago-Tonicity, by Blazing Sword). Deferential now has 1 win & 1 runner-up (in November's Gr3 Maribyrnong Plate over 1000m at Flemington) from 5 starts for $158,325 earnings.
