Magic Millions Yearlings Day-2: $84k Sequalo Filly
In the auction ring yesterday, trainer Ron Maund (buying on behalf of Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm) paid the Day-2 top price of $84,000 for a filly by Lyndhurst Stud stallion Sequalo (the 4th foal from unraced Paris House mare Couturiere) during the closing session of the 2-day Magic Millions Gold Coast Premier Yearling Sale. The filly was consigned by Oakwood Farm as agent; her dam Couturiere is a full-sister to winner Nitrate (dam of Gr3-winner Paris Petard) & a half-sister to both Gr1-winner Arkady & dual-winner Arkadina (dam of stakes-winning 2YO Super Savings).
