Thursday, 29th March 2007

Trainer Richard Mandella & Seth Semkin (racing manager for B. Wayne Hughes) paid US$320,000 for a colt by former Arrowfield Stud shuttler Unbridled's Song (out of Arazi mare Rawafed) consigned by Hartley-De Renzo Thoroughbreds as agent. The colt (a half-brother to graded stakes-winners Burooj & Rasheek) worked 1 furlong in 10.6sec during the 1st pre-sale breeze-up session & then followed with 2 furlongs in 21.6sec during the 2nd pre-sale breeze-up session. Mandella told thoroughbredtimes.com: "He's a beautiful colt, moved great over the ground & he's got a lot of pedigree."
