Thursday, 29th March 2007

We-Have-Seen-The-Future Update: In "what is being called the 1st commingled simulcast of US races to South Africa, Wyvern International in Kentucky facilitated the transmission of Wednesday's 10-race card from Philadelphia Park Casino & Racetrack to South African racecourses & off-track betting parlors" & "wagers placed by South Africans were successfully commingled into pools at Philly Park," reported bloodhorse.com. Mervin Gamble, business development manager for Phumelela Gaming & Leisure (the principal South African wagering, racing & distribution company) declared: "We were able to achieve this success by putting politics & international borders aside & just getting the job done!" In addition to this international first, Wyvern International "has introduced South African & British racing to North America & also began supplying Australian racing to North America in 1996"; the company "currently distributes Australian racing 7-days-a-week year-round to 18 different countries".
