UK Horse Trust Warning On African Sickness

Thursday, 29th March 2007

In the UK, equine welfare & research organization The Horse Trust "has warned the British horse industry is at risk from African horse sickness," reported thoroughbredinternet.com. AHS outbreaks occur annually in southern Africa, "but the increase in global warming has led to the migration of the disease-carrying midges further north into Europe."
