Florida OBSC 2YOs Day-2: US$500k Grand Slam Colt
California trainer John Sadler (bidding on behalf of Ed Gann) paid US$500,000 for a Grand Slam colt already named That's Grand (out of stakes-winning Hennessy mare Goodness) consigned by Mike Mulligan's Leprechaun Racing as agent. The colt (purchased by Mulligan as a weanling for $90,000 at the 2005 Keeneland November mixed sale) worked 1 furlong in 10.2sec during the pre-sale breeze-ups & Sadler told thoroughbredtimes.com: "I liked the way he went on the track, I liked the individual & he vetted well. I think he's the best one here."
