Monday, 2nd April 2007

Coolmore shuttler Fusaichi Pegasus (Mr Prospector-Angel Fever, by Danzig) added a Gr1 triumph when boom 3YO colt Haradasun (Fusaichi Pegasus-Circles Of Gold, by Marscay) came from last into the straight to finish powerfully down the extreme outside & snatch victory in a 3-way photo-finish to the $400,000 weight-for-age Gr1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill. Haradasun (ridden by Glen Boss for trainer Tony Vasil) scored by a long-neck from dual Gr1-winning 3YO gelding Mentality (Flying Spur-Synaesthesia, by Quiet American) with a further long-neck to Gr1-winning favoured 4YO gelding Apache Cat (Lion Cavern-Tennessee Blaze, by Whiskey Road).
