Tipungwuti Wins Tulloch Stakes

Monday, 2nd April 2007

Coolmore shuttler Fusaichi Pegasus (Mr Prospector-Angel Fever, by Danzig) added a group success when gelded son Tipungwuti (Fusaichi Pegasus-So Gorgeous, by Brief Truce) took advantage of a dream rails run to race away for a 3.75-lengths victory in the $140,000 Gr2 Tulloch Stakes (2000m) for 3YO colts & geldings at Rosehill. Tipungwuti (ridden by Dwayne Dunn for trainer Mark Kavanagh) made it 3 successive wins in defeating fellow gelding Pacino (Bianconi-Yarra Dreaming, by Nassipour) & the colt Carnegie House (Carnegie-Platonic, by Nassipour). Tipungwuti (a $330,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale) now has 3 wins (also including last start's Listed Southern Recycling Classic over 1600m at Morphettville on March 12) & 3 runner-ups (including behind multiple Gr1-winner Miss Finland on his debut in 2006's Listed Talindert Stakes over 1100m at Flemington) from 9 starts for $215,920 earnings.
