In international news high profile Lane's End stallion A.P. Indy (who stands for US$300,000) celebrated his 100th stakes-winner, with thoroughbredtimes.com reporting that the son of US Triple Crown hero Seattle Slew "reached his historic milestone when A.P. Arrow won the Gr3 Skip Away Handicap at Gulfstream Park". His notable progeny include "2003 Horse of the Year Mineshaft, 2006 champion three-year-old male Bernardini, 2001 champion two-year-old filly Tempera, 2006 Canadian two-year-old filly Catch the Thrill, and United Arab Emirates 2001 Horse of the Year Festival of Light among 60 group or graded stakes winners". In addition, he is also the "sire of Gr1 winners and sires Golden Missile, Aptitude, and Stephen Got Even." A.P. Indy's 599 starters have yielded an exceptional 423 winners for progeny earnings of US81,808,814.
