Mungrup Stud Secures Danehill Express For Stud Duty

Mungrup Stud in Western Australia has secured the breeding rights for former exciting sprinter Danehill Express (Danehill-Savana City, by New Regent). He will commence his duties this year at a GST inclusive fee of $13,200. When trained in Melbourne by Brian Mayfield-Smith the now 5YO Danehill Express won twice including the Listed Tupperware Cup at Caulfield beating Gr1 performer Spirit Of Tara. He was also placed at Group level several times including a strong 2nd in the Gr1 VRC Australian Guineas (1600m) behind Al Maher after being blocked for a run but still beating home Gr1 winner Econsul. A $1 million yearling, consigned by Tyreel Stud, at the 2003 Inglis Easter Sale, overall he won 2 races and placed 3 times from 9 starts for $263,150 earnings.
