Inglis Select Broodmare Day 2: $620,000 Commands Nothin'
Leading Victorian stud farm Eliza Park Stud, a member of the prestigious Fleming Group of companies which includes Tyreel Stud, paid $620,000 for Commands Nothin' (Lot 530), a daughter of Woodlands Stud stallion Commands. Winner of the Inglis 2YO Classic and in foal to Coolmore Stud's sire Encosta de Lago, Commands Nothin' was originally sold as a yearling at the 2003 Inglis Sydney Classic Sale for $24,000. In the interim, her half sister Ain't Seen Nothin' went on to capture 3 stakes races and realise $460,000 at last year's Broodmare Sale, while family members Polar Success, Elvstroem and more recently Haradasun, have captured events at the elite Gr1 level. "I wasn't going home without this mare," Eliza Park principal, Lee Fleming, enthused. "We focus on quality and that's exactly what this mare is. Quality plus. I've purchased horses from all over the world and this mare wouldn't look out of place on any catalogue page!"
