AJC Racing Manager Wants Doncaster Kept As Is

Following the disappointing crowds for Doncaster Monday over the Easter weekend, the Australian Jockey Club has signalled it is unlikely to respond to pressure to move the race back to the bumper Saturday meeting. The AJC's racing manager Colin Tuck told The Daily Telegraph: "The Doncaster is in its 4th year on Easter Monday and there is no doubt it is still establishing itself." He also suggested that, "talk that the Carnival is tired is premature" in response to suggestions that holding 4 meetings over one week is too much.
