NZ Bloodstock Mixed Sale: Rogerson Top Buyer

At Karaka in New Zealand, New Zealand Bloodstock's annual Autumn Mixed Bloodstock Sale concluded with 156 lots sold for total takings of NZ$507,050, and at an average price of NZ$3,250. The clearance rate was a pleasing 83%. Graeme Rogerson paid the top price of NZ$35,000 for Lot 54, an O'Reilly gelding out of the Red Ransom mare Initial Offering. The 2YO is a half-brother to 2 winners including well-performed Hong Kong runner Firm Offer. Rogerson also paid 4th highest price of NZ$22,000 for an O'Reilly filly out of Ladystaci (by Lanfranco), who is a half-sister to Australian Gr3 winner Greenmailer (by Star Way). With a total of 8 purchases over the course of the day, Rogerson was the leading individual buyer of the Sale. His other purchases included Zabeel mare Coco Hoi with a bay colt foal at foot by New Trumps, bought for NZ$11,000.
