Tuesday Joy Crowned Sydney Queen of the Autumn

3YO filly Tuesday Joy, owned by John Singleton's Strawberry Hill Stud Syndicate, has been crowned the 2007 AJC/STC Queen of the Autumn following the conclusion of the points-based series at Royal Randwick 9 days ago. The series encompasses 19 Black Type races for fillies or mares conducted by the AJC & STC during the Sydney Autumn Carnival. Tuesday Joy (Carnegie-Joie Denise, by Danehill) won the series on 35 points, ahead of the Mark Kavanagh-trained 4YO mare Divine Madonna (Hurricane Sky-My Madonna, by Prego) on 27 points. In its 5th year, the series was previously won by Shower of Roses, Shamekha, Danni Martine and Regal Cheer, and Tuesday Joy's win is the 3rd time trainer Gai Waterhouse has been the winner's trainer. The award ceremony will take place during the NSW Racehorse Owners Association Awards dinner to be held in August.
