Daily News Colour Codes Explained

Tuesday, 24th April 2007

Regular readers of Breeding&Racing Magazine's Daily News column will have noticed the addition of colour-coded hyperlinks (blue, red & green) over the past 21 months. In a nutshell, here's what they are and where they hyperlink to:

  • Blue hyperlinks (for example Woodlands Stud) are only ever used for sponsors of our website, without whom this major free daily service (read by 30,000 key industry participants a day) could not be provided, & also for our own publications. Clicking on a blue hyperlink takes you directly to that sponsor's website.
  • Red hyperlinks (for example Universal Prince) are only used for stallions that are featured with double page spreads in Breeding&Racing Magazine's prestigious Sires Annual. Clicking on a red hyperlinked stallion's name immediately opens that sire's double page spread from the Sires Annual onto your screen.
  • Green hyperlinks (for example horses consigned by Corumbene Stud) are only ever used for yearling vendors that advertise in Breeding&Racing Magazine or on our website. Clicking on a green vendor's hyperlink will take you directly to that vendor's website. (The only variance is that where a sponsor is mentioned as a vendor their hyperlink will remain blue as recognition of their major status on this website).
