OBSC 2YO Sale Day 2: US$260K Hook And Ladder Colt

On Day 2 of Florida's Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2007 Spring Sale of 2YOs in Training, a 2YO colt by freshman yearling sire Hook And Ladder (Dixieland Band-Taianna, by Cox's Ridge) brought top price of US$260,000. From the family of Coolmore Stud stallion Dehere, the colt is a half-brother to 3 winners in Trader's Bluff, Leo's Golden Tap, and Oz, and is out of Expensive Tap (Pleasant Tap). Consigned by Ricky Leppala and bought by James Ventura, the yearling was originally pinhooked, acccording to bloodhorse.com for "US$15,000 from Lakland North, agent, at the 2006 Fasig-Tipton preferred New York-bred yearling sale at Saratoga."
