Aust-Bred 3YOs Win In South Africa

Australian-bred 3YOs Our Giant (Giant's Causeway-Macrosa, by McGinty) & The Whaler (Danzero-Marotte, by Danzatore) both won at Greyville in South Africa for trainer Charles Laird, noted breednet.com.au.
- The gelding Our Giant (a $480,000 yearling from the draft of Tyreel Stud at the 2005 Magic Millions Sale) scored over 1600m & now boasts 4 wins from 8 starts (plus placed in the Gr2 Dingaans Handicap at Turffontein last November); Tyreel has entered his stakes-winning dam Macrosa (a half-sister to Gr1 AJC Australian Derby winner Ebony Grosve) for the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, covered by new Darley sire Dubawi.
- Fellow gelding The Whaler (an $80,000 yearling from the draft of Baramul Stud at the 2005 Magic Millions Sale) scored over 2000m; his dam Marotte is a half-sister to Gr2 winners Cossack Prince & Cossack Warrior and her yearling colt (by Reenact) has been entered by Baramul at the Magic Millions National Sale.
