Dylan Thomas Wins Franch Gr1 Prix Ganay

In Europe overnight, ill-fated Coolmore shuttler & multiple champion sire Danehill (Danzig-Razyana, by His Majesty) recorded another Gr1 triumph when favoured 4YO entire Dylan Thomas (Danehill-Lagrion, by Dieses) notched a 2-lengths victory in France's €300,000 (A$480,000) Gr1 Prix Ganay (2100m) for 4YOs & up at Longchamp in Paris. Dylan Thomas (ridden by Christophe Soumillon for trainer Aidan O'Brien) defeated Irish Wells (Poliglote-Sign Of The Vine, by Kendor) & fast-finishing Doctor Dino (Muhtathir-Logica, by Priolo). Last season as a 3YO Dylan Thomas (a half-brother to Queen's Logic, England's 2001 champion juvenile filly) defeated a star-studded field of older rivals in September's Gr1 Irish Champion Stakes (10 furlongs) at Leopardstown after earlier winning July's Gr1 Irish Derby (12 furlongs) at The Curragh & finishing 3rd in the Gr1 English Derby.
