Inglis Melb Yearlings Day-1: $57.5k Platinum Scissors Colt

Monday, 30th April 2007

Corowa trainer Richard Freyer paid the Day-1 top price of $57,500 for a Platinum Scissors colt (the 4th foal from 12-time-winning Kingston Rule mare Rulable) during yesterday's opening session at the 2-day Inglis Autumn Yearling Sale at Oaklands in Melbourne. The colt is from the family of champion racehorse Better Loosen Up & Freyer commented: "I trained his mother & she was a bonny mare & I was going home with him regardless. He has a head & neck like his sire & plenty of similarities to Redoute's Choice also (the Arrowfield Stud champion sire is a full-brother to Platinum Scissors) right down to the walk."
