Jazzella Wins NZ Windsor Park Breeders' Stakes

Monday, 30th April 2007

Windsor Park shuttler Black Minnaloushe (Storm Cat-Coral Dance, by Green Dancer) added a group success when daughter Jazzella (Black Minnaloushe-Jazzmatazz, by Citidancer) defeated the males in the 3-way photo-finish to the NZ$80,000 Gr3 Windsor Park Stud Breeders' Stakes (1200m) for 3YOs at Te Rapa. Jazzella (ridden by Lisa Cropp for trainers Donna & Dean Logan & Chris Gibbs) scored by a nose from fellow filly Electrostatic (Elnadim-Echostatic, by Prince Echo) with a further long-head to the gelding Keep The Message (Keeper-Miss Morrinsville, by Desperate Dee). Jazzella (a NZ$40,000 yearling at the 2005 NZB Select Sale at Karaka) took her record to 5 wins (also including last month's Gr3 Darley Plate over 1200m at Ellerslie) & 2 placings (in last month's Listed Darby Munro Stakes over 1200m at Rosehill in Sydney & last season's Listed Northland Breeders Stakes over 1200m) from 8 starts.
