Monday, 16th July 2007

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) also added an Irish black-type success overnight when daughter Alexander Tango (Danehill Dancer-House In Wood, by Wood) scored a half-length victory against older rivals in the €60,000 (A$96,000) Listed Kilboy Estates Stakes (9 furlongs) for fillies & mares at The Curragh. Alexander Tango (ridden by Wayne Lordan for trainer Tommy Stack) defeated fellow 3YO fillies She's Our Mark (Ishiguru-Markskeepingfaith, by Ajraas) & Cherry Hinton (Green Desert-Urban Sea, by Miswaki). Earlier this season Alexander Tango won Ireland's Gr3 1000 Guineas Trial Stakes (8 furlongs) at Leopardstown on May 13; & last year she finished 3rd in Ireland's Gr2 Debutante Stakes (7 furlongs) at Leopardstown.
