Choisir Adds Irish Black-Type

Monday, 23rd July 2007

In Ireland, Coolmore shuttler Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a juvenile black-type success (& his 1st Northern Hemisphere stakes-winner) when daughter Porto Marnay (Choisir-Nordicolini, by Nordico) scored a 3.5-lengths victory over the males in the €60,000 (A$96,000) Listed Tipperary Stakes (5 furlongs) for 2YOs on a heavy track at Tipperary. Porto Marnay (ridden by Declan McDonogh for trainer Ken Condon) defeated fellow fillies Shivering (Royal Applause-Snowing, by Tate Gallery) & Rose Rouge (Kyllachy-Rose Chime, by Tirol). Porto Marmay was a €24,000 (A$38,000) yearling at last year's Goffs Sportsman's & Bonus sale.
