Monday, 3rd September 2007

Overall at the 2-day BBAG Sale, 242 yearlings sold for €8,021,000 (A$12.833m) which was up 1.6% on last year's 266 sold for €7,893,500 (A$12.629m). The €36,358 (A$58,100) average was up 1.2% on last year's €35,936 (A$57,400). And the median gained over 8% at €39,512 (A$63,200). BBAG managing director Verena Gang told racingpost.co.uk: "We are delighted with these results, which show our strategy of quality rather than quantity has been correct. Despite a smaller catalogue & 42 withdrawals, we reached a record turnover of over €8 million (A$12.8m) & set new records for average & median as well as the new record top lot."
