Elusive Quality Adds UK Gr3

Monday, 3rd September 2007

In the UK, Darley shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a group success when his undefeated US-bred colt Raven's Pass (Elusive Quality-Ascutney, by Lord At War) shaved 1.3sec off the juvenile track record in blitzing his rivals by 7-lengths in the £37,000 (A$89,000) Gr3 Solario Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YOs at Sandown Park. Owned & bred by Stonerside Stables, favourite Raven's Pass (ridden by Jimmy Fortune for trainer John Gosden) defeated fellow colts City Leader (Fasliyev-Kanmary, by Kenmare) & Gaspar Van Wittel (Danehill Dancer-Akuna Bay, by Mr Prospector). At his previous start, Raven's Pass had similarly raced away for a 5-lengths victory in July's Listed Winkfield Stakes (7 furlongs) at Ascot & overall now has 3 wins from 3 starts.
