Mansion House Wins Farnley Stakes

Former Gr1 Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (Danehill-Kensington Gardens, by Grosvenor) added a black-type success when 4YO gelding Mansion House (Blackfriars-Princess Kariette, by Aurealis) scored a half-length victory in the $75,000 Listed Farnley Stakes (1400m) at Belmont Park in Perth. Mansion House (ridden by Troy Turner for trainer Ivan Haggerty) defeated 5YO mares Exotic Nights (Key Business-Brooklyn Nights, byRubiton) & Royale Harvest (High Yield-Bird Royale, by Bluebird). Mansion House now has 5 wins (also including February's Listed Aquanita Stakes over 1400m at Ascot & 2006's Gr3 Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic also over 1400m at Ascot) & 3 placings (including March's Listed J.C.Roberts Stakes over 1820m at Ascot & 2006's Gr3 A.J.Scahill Stakes over 1400m at Ascot) from 12 starts for $231,550 earnings.
