Tuesday, 4th September 2007

In New Mexico, US 9YO freshman sire Bay Head King (Saint Ballado-Meadow Silk, by Meadowlake) also recorded his 1st winner when 2YO filly Bay Queen scored over 6 furlongs at Ruidoso Downs, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Bay Head King (a full-brother to Gr2-winner Star Dabbler & from the immediate family of 2004 US champion sprinter Speightstown) stood the 2007 breeding season at Buena Suerte Equine in New Mexico & has 20 2YOs in his 1st crop. On the track, Bay Head King won 6 of 15 starts (plus placings in both 2001's Gallant Bob Handicap at Philadelphia Park & Fred Caposella Stakes at Aqueduct).
