Tuesday, 4th September 2007

Meanwhile Racing NSW's Greg Rudolph also told Radio Sport 927 the equine influenza virus has spread through most stables at Randwick & "I would imagine that this week all horses will be affected." Rudolph said chief steward Ray Murrihy had been at Randwick from 4.30am yesterday morning & described the vast training centre as "a ghost town" with so many horses remaining in their stables with the virus. Rudolph noted Racing NSW is working with vets & the DPI to determine how quickly the virus spread is over in Randwick's horse population & summed up: "We hope it spreads quickly so that we can return to normal quickly."
