Tuesday, 4th September 2007

US 5YO stallion Proud Accolade (Yes It's True-Proud Ciel, by Septieme Ciel) "will stand in 2008 at Arthur Appleton's Bridlewood Farm in Florida," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Proud Accolade (who defeated eventual dual classic winner & champion Afleet Alex in the 2004 Gr1 Champagne Stakes) stood the 2007 season for US$5,000 at Satish Sanan's Padua Stables in Florida; he entered stud in 2006 & his 1st foals were born this year. Sanan (who is moving his operation to Kentucky) commented: "We want to continue to support the Florida breeding program & Bridlewood is doing an outstanding job with their young stallions." On the track, Proud Accolade won 4 of 10 starts (also including the 2005 Gr2 Hutcheson Stakes) & earned US$476,630.
