Barathea Adds US Black-Type

Former Widden Stud shuttler Barathea (Sadler's Wells-Brocade, by Habitat) added a US black-type success when 6YO entire Always First (Barathea-Pink Cristal, by Dilum) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the US$62,000 Listed Cape Henlopen Stakes (12 furlongs on turf) at Delaware Park in Wilmington to claim victory in this race for the 2nd year in succession. Always First (ridden by J.Caraballo for trainer T.Voss) defeated Dubai Cat (Western Cat-Bim's Above All, by Great Above) & Bee Charmer (Anabaa-Bayourida, by Slew O' Gold). Earlier this season Always First won July's Gr3 Stars And Stripes Breeders' Cup Turf Handicap (12 furlongs) at Arlington Park & finished 2nd in May's Gr3 Louisville Handicap (12 furlongs on turf) at Churchill Downs.
