Ireland Yearlings Day-1: $240k Danehill Dancer Filly

Wednesday, 5th September 2007

In Europe overnight, Edward Daly paid the Day-1 top price of €150,000 (A$240,000) for a filly by Coolmore shuttler Danerhill Dancer (out of Doyoun mare Daniysha) during the opening session of the 3-day Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale. The filly (consigned from Ballyhane Stud) is a half-sister to John Oxx's high class Amethyst Stakes winner Danak & Daly told racingpost.co.uk: "I've bought her for a new client & she will stay in Ireland to be trained. She's a lovely filly with a good page, which is so important. Her half-brother is a Gr1-performer & I'm told that the 2YO with Michael Halford is meant to be useful."
