Majestic Warrior Wins US Gr1 Hopeful Stakes

Wednesday, 5th September 2007

Also in the US, Kinsman Farm home-bred Majestic Warrior (A.P.Indy-Dream Supreme, by Seeking The Gold) "rallied from far off the pace & powered past" his rivals in the straight to score a 2.25-lengths victory in the US$250,000 Gr1 Hopeful Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YOs at Saratoga in New York. Majestic Warrior (ridden by Garrett Gomez for trainer Bill Mott) defeated Gr2-winner Ready's Image (More Than Ready-Clever Phrase, by Clever Trick) & front-running Maimonides (Vindication-Silvery Swan, by Silver Deputy) who was a US$4.6 million yearling at the 2006 Keeneland September sale (& won his debut by 11.5-lengths at Saratoga on August 8). At his previous start, Majestic Warrior (1 of 3 winners out of multiple Gr1-winner Dream Supreme) scored by 3.5-lengths on debut on August 4.
