Monday, 10th September 2007

Coolmore shuttler Spinning World (Nureyev-Imperfect Circle, by Riverman) added a UK black-type success when 4YO mare Harvest Queen (Spinning World-Royal Bounty, by Generous) "came with a sweeping run in the straight past her 8 male rivals" & went on to score a 1.25-lengths victory in the £35,000 (A$84,000) Listed Superior Mile (8 furlongs) at Haydock, reported the-racehorse.com. Harvest Queen (ridden by Seb Sanders for trainer Peter Makin) defeated 4YO entire Smart Enough (Cadeaux Genereux-Good Enough, by Mukaddamah) & 3YO gelding Caldra (Elnadim-Lady Rachel, by Priolo). Earlier this season Harvest Queen also won May's UK Listed Conqueror Stakes (8 furlongs) at Goodwood.
