US Sire Fifty Stars Dies Aged 9

US 9YO sire Fifty Stars (Quiet American-My Bubbling Belle, by Tsunami Slew) "died of a heart attack" in Texas, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Kentucky-bred Fifty Stars stood at JEH Stallion Station in Texas in 2004 & Moonlake Equine Center in Louisiana in 2005 & 2006. On the track, Fifty Stars (a US$70,000 yearling at the 1999 Keeneland September sale) won 4 of 20 starts (including the 2001 Gr2 Louisiana Derby & 2000 Sam Houston Texas Juvenile Stakes) & earned US$706,222.
