Kentucky Yearlings Day-2: US$1.05m Unbridled's Song Colt

Wednesday, 12th September 2007

Bloodstock agent John Moynihan (acting for a partnership but declining to name the participants) out-bid pin-hooker Jerry Bailey & paid US$1.05 million for another colt by former Arrowfield Stud shuttler Unbridled's Song (out of Miswaki mare Bally Five) consigned by Lane's End as agent. The colt is a half-brother to 1998 Gr2 Illinois Derby winner Yarrow Brae & Moynihan told thoroughbredtimes.com: "I thought he was one of the prettiest horses in the sale today. We're buying him to race. We thought he looked like a great racing prospect. I expected the price was going to be pretty high on him."
