Kentucky Yearlings Day-4: US$700k Dynaformer Colt

Friday, 14th September 2007

Centennial Farms paid US$700,000 for a Kentucky-bred half-brother to Gr1-winner Honor In War by Dynaformer (the 4th foal out of 14-year-old Diesis mare Catumbella) also consigned by Mill Ridge Sales (who co-bred his dam) as agent. Centennial president Don Little told thoroughbredtimes.com: "This was our pick of the sale for the type of colt we look for: the Corinthian types, the Colonial Affairs. He's just a fantastic individual, very athletic & he had the look and the eye." Little said the colt will be trained by Jimmy Jerkens & added: "Dynaformer can get you any kind of horse, on the grass or the dirt, & we just felt he was a special individual. With our program, we're not particularly aggressive with our 2YOs. We hope to have 1 or 2 starts as a 2YO & then go on to bigger & better things. He's got the build that I think, if he develops the right way, he could be a brilliant horse & have a look as a stallion."
