Black Hawk Arrives At Eliza Park From Vic Quarantine

Tuesday, 18th September 2007

Last season's leading Victorian 2nd-Season Sire by winners Black Hawk (Nureyev-Silver lane, by Silver Hawk) has arrived at Eliza Park following a stint in the quarantine facility at Spotswood. Following his 22 individual winners in 2006-07 (including St Trinians, The Black Rod, Happy Finish & Kurotaka), Black Hawk has started the current season with winners including Kadena Lane, Blackstone Rose, Narita, Insistence, Alfalfa, Quiet Hawk & Weekend Flight. Eliza Park general manager Shane McGrath commented: "We have a lot of faith in Black Hawk & given the uncertainties arising from the equine influenza outbreak, it's wonderful to see him on the farm. He's by Nureyev, he's been hugely successful in Japan & his reputation in Australia & NZ is growing daily."
