In Italy, Irish agent Bobby O'Ryan paid top price of €220,000 (A$352,000) for a Dalakhani colt (out of Listed-placed Jareer mare Snug Dinner) at the 1-day Italian Thoroughbred Sales company's Select Yearling Sale in Rome. The colt (consigned from Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti) is a half-brother to French Gr1 Prix Vermeille winner Sweet Stream. He will be trained by Dermot Weld on behalf of Sheikh Hamdan & O'Ryan told racingpost.co.uk: "He was a smashing horse & he's by a sire that is doing very well. The mare has already bred a very good filly & I loved this colt when I saw him."
