1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Easyfromthegitgo

Louisiana-based 8YO US freshman sire Easyfromthegitgo (Dehere-Montera, by Easy Goer) recorded his 1st winner when Stuff (Easyfromthegitgo-Ti Voglio, by Blue Ensign) scored a 1.75-lengths victory over 7.5 furlongs at Louisiana Downs, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Easyfromthegitgo will stand for US$3,500 in 2008 at 519 Thoroughbreds in Louisiana & has 33 2YOs in his 1st crop. On the track, Easyfromthegitgo won 4 of 23 starts (including the 2002 Lecomte Stakes at Fair Grounds & Iowa Derby at Prairie Meadows, plus runner-up in that year's Gr3 Louisiana Derby & 5th in the Gr1 Preakness Stakes, as well as placed in 4 other graded stakes) & earned US$695,056. Easyfromthegitgo (a half-brother to Gr3-winner Sue's Good News) hails from the immediate family of 1985 champion grass horse & leading sire Cozzene.
