Celestial Dancer Adds Singapore Gr3

Monday, 24th September 2007

In Singapore yesterday, deceased Lyndhurst Stud stallion Celestial Dancer (Godswalk-Oulanova, by Nijinsky II) added a group success when 7YO gelding King And King (Celestial Dancer-Merriang Road, by Persian Heights) headed an Australian-bred trifecta with a 1-length victory in the S$200,000 (A$160,000) weight-for-age Gr3 Jumbo Jet Trophy (1400m) at Kranji. King And King (ridden by Saimee Jumaat for expatriate Australian trainer Steven Burridge) defeated fellow 7YO Recast (Thunder Gulch-Abonnement, by Marauding) & 5YO gelding Capablanca (Scenic-Ahava, by Southern Appeal). In 2006 King And King (who previously won in Australia at both Flemington & Moonee Valley in Melbourne) took the Gr2 QEII Cup (2000m) at Kranji in March & then finished 2nd in both the Gr1 Singapore Airlines International Cup (2000m) at Kranji in May, plus the Gr1 Kranji Mile (1600m) in October.
