Monday, 24th September 2007

Also in Scotland, Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a black-type success when 4YO mare Anna Pavlova (Danehill Dancer-Wheeler's Wonder, by Sure Blade) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the £50,000 (A$120,000) Listed Doonside Cup (10 furlongs) at Ayr. Anna Pavlova (ridden by Paul Hanagan for trainer Richard Fahey) defeated 7YO gelding Dunaskin (Bahhare-Mirwara, by Darshaan) & 4YO entire Ivy Creek (Gulch-Ivy Leaf, by Nureyev). Earlier this year Anna Pavlova won Ireland's Listed Salsabil Stakes (10 furlongs) at Navan & last month finished 3rd in the UK Gr2 Lonsdale Stakes (2 miles) on the Knavesmire at York. And in 2006 she won the UK Listed Harvest Stakes (12 furlongs) against older rivals at Ascot & UK Listed Galtres Stakes (12 furlongs) at York, plus finished runner-up in both the Gr2 Park Hill Stakes (14 furlongs) at York & Listed Severals Stakes (10 furlongs) at Newmarket.
