Coolmore shuttler Tale Of The Cat (Storm Cat-Yarn, by Mr Prospector) added a group success when the colt Purrealist (Tale Of The Cat-Surrealist, by Kenny's Best Pal) scored a half-neck victory in the $175,000 Gr3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) for 3YO colts & geldings at Caulfield. Purrealist (ridden by Hugh Bowman for trainer Danny O'Brien) defeated fellow colts Marching (Commands-Step, by Grand Lodge) & Shrewd Rhythm (Danehill Dancer-Balcanny, by Canny Lad). Purrealist (a $700,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 2 wins & 3 placings (last start's Gr3 Danehill Stakes over 1200m at Flemington on September 8, plus August's Listed Vain Stakes over 1100m at Caulfield & May's Gr3 The Jansz over 1200m at Morphettville) from 5 starts for $200,650 earnings. Purrealist is a a half-brother to 4-time Gr1-winner Racing To Win.
