US Gr1-Winner Corinthian To Stud At Gainesway In 2008
Centennial Farms's US Gr1-winning 4YO stallion Corinthian (Pulpit-Multiply, by Easy Goer) will stand at Gainesway Farm in Kentucky in 2008, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. A stud fee "will be announced upon his retirement". This year Corinthian (who suffered a hair-line fracture in his left hind pastern last year & missed his shot at the US 3YO Triple Crown) has won both May's Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap (8 furlongs) at Belmont Park & March's Gr2 Gulfstream Park Handicap) & overall boasts 5 wins from 11 starts for US$727,273 earnings. Gainesway president Antony Beck enthused: "The Met Mile has produced some of the greatest stallions in recent history. Corinthian is a superior individual, a very athletic, well-bred stallion prospect from one of the best stallion producing female families, which has already produced top sires Sadler's Wells & Nureyev."
