Trainers Want Randwick Easter Carnival Back 1 Month

Thursday, 27th September 2007

The traditional Randwick Easter Carnival "is expected to be pushed back a month next year," reported The Daily Telegraph. The proposal "was given unanimous support by a meeting of Randwick trainers", along with a "push by the trainers for the Australian Jockey Club not to lock the autumn carnival around the traditional Easter race dates in future". The proposals "will be tabled at a meeting of racing industry heavyweights at Racing NSW on Friday".
