UK National Stud Will Continue Stallions In 2008
The UK National Stud "will continue to run a commercial stallion operation next year," as the Levy Board takes "every possible step to meet its target date of October 31 for completing the transfer of the troubled body into the hands of the UK Jockey Club," reported racingpost.co.uk. The move was proposed in July by the Levy Board (which has been charged with operating the 500-acre stud on behalf of the Crown since 1963) "following a comprehensive strategic review of the stud's activities".
