Rosehill Racing May Resume In 2 Weeks

Friday, 28th September 2007

Racing in the Sydney metropolitan area "could resume at Rosehill on Saturday October 13, if the vaccination program to be rolled out today goes according to plan," reported racenet.com.au. Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy confirmed that date "has been pencilled-in to stage an in-house program". Murrihy noted: "The plan would be that the horses should have good immunity by then, so if approved we would look to stage a Rosehill meeting on that date. But we would still keep it closed off to the public & for Rosehill horses only." The horses currently in training at Rosehill "will receive their 1st vaccination shot against equine influenza today".
